They've just completed a UK tour with THE VACCINES, and release debut album ‘America (Give Up)’ on 16th January.

With her dazzling debut album ‘Yours Truly, Cellophane Nose’ picking up glowing reviews already, BETH JEANS HOUGHTON & THE HOOVES OF DESTINY are also set to release the giddy (but murderous) ‘Sweet Tooth Bird’ as a single.
The album was produced by Ben Hiller (BLUR/ELBOW) and introduces one of the most self-assured new bands of the year fronted by a pop polymath whose blend of psychedelia, glam rock & chain gang folk is quite unlike anything else you’re likely to hear in 2012.

BURNING FERNS
Friday 2nd March
7pm-10pm *early show*
£5 adv WeGotTickets / Spillers / Buffalo / £6 doors
Coming to the world’s attention in 2005 with ‘Normal For Bridgewater’, PETER BRUNTNELL was initially categorized as ‘alt-country’ – but his restless musical spirit has meant each successive album striking out in new directions.
2009’s ‘Peter And The Murder Of Crows’ filled with psychedelic drones and mellifluous tunes, it was Americana Album of the Month in Mojo, and one of Q’s Americana Albums of the Year. The most interesting thing about Bruntnell’s music is the indefinable knack the songs have of locking into the listener’s emotions, but no-one quite understands how or why. There’s no-one else like him around, and now he’s made the perfect pop record. For fans of RICHMOND FONTAINE and DANNY AND THE CHAMPIONS OF THE WORLD.
“His songs should be taught in schools” - NME
